    You would think we would get smarter, wouldn’t you?

    Actually, I am grading exams now. They aren’t getting smarter. Why should we?

    I remember that Stephen J. Gould would chortle in his essays that “extinction is the fate of all species, even ours.”

    Although our species will probably be around awhile, it looks like Western Civ. is on track with the dodo et al.
