More Bad News for Hillary

The Maine caucuses were supposed to be a bright spot for Hillary. It didn’t happen. Oh oh.

Self-entitlement can only take a person so far. I honestly believe that if HRC had divorced WJC after La Affaire Lewinsky…then run for Senate, she would have won, and had a much more favorable viewing by the public.

The other part is that neither of the Democrats are running on much other than “we aren’t GW Bush.” But then, neither is McCain!

Don’t count HRC out yet. She feels that decades of taking nonsense from WJC means that she is owed something. And she has a plan for all of us.

Has everyone actually *read* “It Takes a Village”? Brrrr.

We also don’t know what Barack Obama really thinks—other than his voting record. We will see.

Somewhat interesting is that turnout was heavy despite the bad weather in Maine. Usually bad weather suppresses Democrats, but maybe Obama generated enough excitement to overcome this. Then again, caucuses are for the kool-aid drinking zombies.

I’ve heard his autobiography is pretty radical lefty, and he really hasn’t been challenged on some of the more extreme redistributionist elements found there, but if he faces a general election we can expect more scrutiny.

On one conservative blog a commentator from Illinois said Obama was pragmatic and technocratic in practice.

In his defense I suppose one could argue Obama responds to the situation: as a ward politician, he preached “screw the man”, ’cause that’s what his constituents wanted to hear. As a President, he would realize the meritocracy needs to be maintained.

I’m not sure that is a chance we need to take.
