		<description>Many of the advocates for reform are single payer only types with an agenda that does not include insurance companies, which they consider agents of Satan. Canada made a terrible mistake when they banned private practice and balance billing. Many of the best doctors left the country. The first dollar coverage encouraged the &quot;worried well&quot; to fill GPs offices and the emphasis was on primary care. This is a political solution because voters can see their doctor for free for any minor problem. The trouble comes later when people are really sick and there are no resources. You have a Potemkin Village health care system. What you see is what you get. Go deeper and you find- nothing.</description>

		<description>Whew!  Thanks for absorbing all that information and filling us in.

Now I&#039;m surprised we haven&#039;t heard more about the French system.  Maybe it&#039;s a language thing.  We hear lots about the Canadian and British.</description>
